Amanda Crabb | | Bio: Little could the human eye see or mind comprehend
exactly what God had in store with the joining of Aaron and Amanda Crabb...
After nearly seven years of marriage, and two children, the plan is beginning to come into fruition. Aaron and Amanda each offer unique gifts that compliment one another and lift up the name of Jesus. Aaron Crabb brings to this team more than a decade of ministry experience with his family, the Crabb Family. Aaron's beginning role with the history-making Crabb Family was as bass guitarist, and he later stepped up to front line vocalist. During his time with the Crabb Family, Aaron experienced the success of Dove Awards, Grammy nominations, and singing on stages such as the Grand Ole' Opry, the Brooklyn Tabernacle, World Harvest Church with Pastor Rod Parsley, and various other prestigious accolades and honors. Aaron has been featured on several songs including the number one single, "He Came Looking For Me," and a remake of the old standard, "Nothing But The Blood." Aaron has also begun a very successful songwriting ministry, contributing several songs to the discology of the Crabb Family.
In September 2002 Aaron announced another ministry calling on his life; preaching the gospel. Aaron immediately began filling pulpits sharing a very heartfelt message of hope. In August 2004, just after the birth of their first child, Elijah David, Amanda also announced the call to preach the gospel. Amanda has made appearances at various ladies conferences and church events. Amanda also has a musical background having filled in at various times with the Crabb Family and also traveling full-time for three months with the Mike Bowling Group. Shortly after Amanda’s time on the road, the couple welcomed their second child, Eva Lyn into the family.
Recently the two have answered the call to launch an evangelistic ministry together. Although God has definitely begun to prepare pastors' hearts in both Aaron and Amanda, and they feel that is the direction in which God will eventually lead them, they are obediently answering the call of evangelism for this particular season in their lives and ministry. In addition to preaching, Aaron and Amanda will incorporate their musical abilities into their evangelistic ministries. In fact, they have co-written several songs, four of which are featured on the Crabb Family’s farewell recording.
Both Aaron and Amanda have endured circumstances the world would deem impossible. Through these circumstances God has birthed in them the faith to believe that no matter what the circumstance, God is able. Their ministry is founded on this very hope. Aaron and Amanda offer a powerful message of restoration and encouragement. Although they live and breathe to see souls saved, they also focus heavily on the power deliverance. They have had the opportunity to come in contact with many needs, and have had the privilege of watching God break chains and set free!
Their passion is seeing lives changed, and they have a God-given desire to see needs met. With much prayer and reliance on God for the anointing that makes the difference, Aaron and Amanda are stepping out in unity and faith to begin the fulfillment of the plan that God has ordained for their lives since the beginning of time. This couple is an example that when society says it looks hopeless; God is hope!
More about Amanda...
As a child Amanda Crabb faced trials and hardships that could have caused her to point a finger and blame God. Although some people would have reacted as such, Amanda has allowed her circumstances to make her rather than to break her. There was a time in Amanda’s life when she ran from God, but she knew deep down in her heart if there was ever a hope for her life and her future that hope would be found in nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Born in Maysville, Kentucky in 1980, the former Amanda Hardin battled the call that God had placed on her life since she was a small child. The enemy realized the work that God had for Amanda and tried with all he had to steal that from her. In search of herself Amanda followed many roads, including that of a beauty queen, which led her all the way to the Miss Kentucky beauty pageant.
The enemy even tried to hinder the marriage God had ordained, but by the grace of God, Amanda and Aaron Crabb overcame the attacks on their relationship and were married in October 2001. It wasn’t until they had been married for two years that Amanda realized exactly what God had in store for her. Aaron, sibling and vocalist of the Dove Award-winning, Grammy- nominated Crabb Family had already announced his calling to preach the gospel. In August 2004 Amanda finally surrendered to the call of God on her life to preach the gospel as well and has been going full force ever since.
In addition to her powerful evangelistic calling, Amanda has also surrendered to the calling to sing the gospel. Her musical ministry has allowed her the opportunity to fill in at various times with the Crabb Family. Amanda also toured full-time for three months with the Mike Bowling group. Amanda originally recorded lead vocals on the song, “Hold Me While I Cry,” (later recorded and released to radio by Karen Peck & New River) with her sisters-in-law Shellye and Kristi Crabb.
While Amanda is obedient to step out in boldness into the doors God daily opens for her, she is quick to acknowledge her husband as her spiritual leader and mentor. Amanda says that Aaron is a tower of strength for her and a light that she can follow in her life. She recognizes that God has used her husband to bring her life to the fullness of the plan God had in store.
Amanda also recognizes that fulfilling God’s plan for her requires a daily walk, but she is experiencing Psalms 16:11 which states that in His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. Amanda has found that living in the presence of God is where she is able to surrender to Him and find healing and power. That is the message she shares in her ministry.
Amanda’s ministry has led her to churches, ladies’ conferences, and various other evangelical services all across the nation. She is also the host of the television show, Fresh Ground Faith, based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ironically, as a child, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, Amanda always responded “a talk show host.” God truly fills the desires of hearts who delight in Him.
Amanda has had the opportunity to minister to men and women alike who are facing situations similar to the ones she has faced in her life. She has watched the power of God break chains and set countless lives free to live in victory! Amanda shares the hope that although the enemy wants people to believe that there is no way out and that they are bound to their situations, God wants to set them free to lift their hands in praise!
Amanda and her husband Aaron believe that God is preparing them for future pastoral ministry work, but in the meantime they are embarking upon an evangelical ministry. They have a son, Elijah David and a daughter Eva Lyn!
As Amanda continues to desire more of God in her life, the sky is the limit for where the Lord plans to take her ministry. He declared in His word that He knows the plans He has for His children, and that they are plans to prosper and not to harm. Those plans are just beginning to unfold for Amanda Crabb.
